Coronavirus: What's behind Trump's U-turn on China?

In February and early March, President Donald Trump, on many occasions, praised China’s efforts in handling the coronavirus outbreak and sharing information with the world. But recently, there seems to be an extraordinary U-turn in his attitude. Trump has repeatedly referred to the new coronavirus as the “Chinese virus,” despite a torrent of criticism from domestic media calling the term racist and an attempt to shift the blame.
