I know this is random but don't the Arachnids kind of look like the dam bug you have to fight through and end up using as cannon fodder in Half-life 2.

"Fear not, because they have some flaws as well. As even a perfect alien, is still an alien." I did not expect such a blatant xenophobic comment. Fucking died lol

The true nature of the bugs are “Psuedo-Arachnids”. They just shortened it to arachnids for the movie.

I don't care what anyone says, I saw this movie in the theaters when I was a kid. Loved every moment of it, especially at that age. I will still be willing to watch it again to this day, just not any of the sequels. Those are freaking awful.

One correction, the bugs didn’t launch the meteor, that was the Federation to justify going to war with the bugs and to cement their control of the world government through Nationalism and patriotism.

There is no reason to go to war with the bugs, Earth invaded them on the pretense of a false flag attack on earth. The bugs are simply defending themselves.

If you stomp on a spider in your room, you're letting the one's not getting stomped to live. Soon the spiders will evolve to be immune to stomps

Arachnids biggest flaw: They are bargain-bin Tyrannids.

When it comes to savage attacks by creatures without tactics....
I always keep wondering why in such advanced civilization they won't dump mass amount of auto turrets shooting anything that is not considered earth organism.
Combine with simple AI and spam turrets close enough to provide proximity cover fire and safely exploit planet resources.

Doesn't make sense that they don't require sustenance, how to they get energy? without energy they won't be able to function, so how DO they generate energy if they do not eat or drink? i think it's rather unprofessional that you mention they don't eat or drink, but don't tell us HOW they get energy to sustain themselves.

Got to meet Seth Gilliam at Fan Fest NJ. I mentioned how he took one for the team at the end of the movie. He said he took one for humanity. Great guy. 🥃

Evolution doesn't mean they are at their very best, it means they are (either) at their most suited (or adapting) to the environment that they are found in. They could have had certain adaptions that were more suited to war with humans but have lost them because they weren't suited to their situation at the time

I hate all bugs, but I have a special hatred for spiders that cannot be explained.
