Debunking Ancient Aliens, The Book of Mormon and other Bullshit Archaeological Claims w/ Ken Feder

June 20, 2019 By

Kenneth L. Feder is a professor of archaeology at Central Connecticut State University. Professor Kenneth Feder is the founder and director of the Farmington River Archaeological Project which studies the prehistory of the region in northwest Connecticut.

He gained his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1973 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, his Master of Arts in anthropology from the University of Connecticut in 1975 and his Ph.D. in anthropology in 1982.

In 1993, Feder published an account of his archaeological investigation into a 19th-century historical site in Barkhamsted, Connecticut entitled A Village of Outcasts: Historical Archaeology and Documentary Research at the Lighthouse Site, in which he detailed a case study of a group of Native Americans, emancipated African-American slaves, and European settlers who formed a settlement that lasted from 1740 to 1860.

Feder’s work can be found in various media sources and even text books for undergraduates. He has been involved in many projects that focus on debunking outrageous archaeological claims such as but not limited to, lost civilizations, ancient aliens, Atlantis etc.

Ken joined us for a fascinating interview on his work in the field of archaeology. He explains why he has been fascinated in this field of study since he has been a child. He takes us through many of the projects and dig sites that he has worked on, that have debunked many false claims such ancient aliens, giants, forged relics, and ancient Israelites existing in America prior to the Native American tribes. Do not miss this fantastic interview with Kenneth L. Feder.

In looking at the Book of Mormon we need to compare the people’s living conditions with those of the native Indians. What type of plants does the book mention? Were these plants in America at that time? What animals are said to be in the area? Did the Indians have knowledge of metal working as stated in the Book of Mormon? What was the Indians' written language? How did they travel? How do these claims in the Book of Mormon compare with archaeology?
    The Book of Mormon mentions:
    • wheat (Mosiah 9:9)
    • horses (1 Nephi 18:25)
    • chariots (Alma 18:9-11; 20:6; 3 Nephi 3:22)
    • cows (Enos 21)
    • elephants (Ether 9:19)
    • silk (Alma 1:29; 4:6; Ether 9:17)
    • linen (Mosiah 10:5; Helaman 6:13; Ether 10:24)
    • money-pieces of gold and silver (Alma 11:3-20)
    • steel (2 Nephi 5:15; Jarom 1:8; Ether 7:9)
NOT ONE of these items was here before the Spanish arrived ! None. Let;s hear from some Mormons with actual EVIDENCE !!!

The Book of Mormon has yet to have been proven to be a fraud.  You're either lying about what you say about the Book of Mormon or are misinformed.  Have only read the Book of Mormon once.  It's an obvious account written eons ago.

He said that monuments like the Pyramids of Giza were made by "trial and error"! Holy shit that's a reach! So let me ask, why did all of the pyramids after the original 3 in Giza, basically start to crumble and topple over (the later pyramids are on a much smaller scale btw)? Aren't ya suppose to get better as you go along? Nope, they got it perfect the first time and we can't even replicate them today! Laughable!!

You have a paid Archaeologist who is funded and payed to find what they are looking for and only what they are looking for. Meaning that if something does not fit their paradigm, it gets jammed in (hence some of the hominid bones that have been found and forced to try and be "the missing link"). Can archaeologists explain why some of the giant bones that were in the Smithsonian just disappeared.... yet you can still see New York Times articles from the early 1900's that talk about them? Ha ha! What a joke? Is that not a cover-up? Can you explain how pottery has been found in South America with cuneiform writing on it (Fuenta Magna) discovered in 1958 and how the hell that got there from the Middle East in ancient times? The Dead Sea Scrolls found in Qumron (sp) Caves in 1947 have very interesting stories that were edited out of the Bible. Given today's context of abduction cases World Wide, why would an ancient culture (that was struggling just to survive) want to just sit around and write fairy tales? Seems like they would be very possibly writing down facts or what they were seeing. It's just interesting how the DSS and even the cuneiform tablets in Iraq (discovered in the late 1800's) by Austen Henry Layard get thrown out as fake or fairy tales because the stories don't fit the current paradigm.

Basically for you to dismiss everything as all fake or bullshit is extremely ignorant!

PS- You mentioned C Columbus (the phony first discoverer of North America) had a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) encounter on his journey to the New World that flew out of the water and rose above the ship, then flew off! Multiple witnesses, late 1400's, recorded in his ship log. Remember, you only believe evidence or at least the evidence you want to believe?! Right?!

The funniest sitcom ever was the episode of Ancient Aliens when somebody claimed the Nazis got technology from aliens.

The Allies had men with bow ties and slide rules. Hitler had Darth Vader and the Klingons. Yet the Allies won.

Civilization will not attain to its moral perfection until the last stone from the last church falls on the last priest.

Interesting, because as an ex-Mormon, I've been studying the fakery involved in inventing that religion. Not only did Joseph Smith fake his "ancient" artifacts, but there were people who counter-faked in order to fool him into "verifying" their fakes! It was great sport at one time. Google the Kinderhook Plates, Zelph, etc. And there was so much vandalism. They ruined so many mounds and obliterated tons of archaeological history. At least Joe Smith's "Hill Cumorah" wasn't a constructed mound. It was nothing but a glacial drumlin near the Finger Lakes district of upstate New York.

Ancient Aliens or Creationism, both have one thing in common. There is NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE. The story of eden was likely a mythical retelling about the real events in our biological development. If you look at it the story is really about how humans gained sentience and later founded civilization. All that stuff about original sin was a later medieval invention to shoehorn Jesus into the biblical narrative.

I think much of the modern ancient alien stuff today is just our ancient myths being reinterpreted in the age of Science fiction. Past stuff with the indians was born out of racism and religion biblical liberalism, a need to somehow fit Native Americans into the continuity of their biblical worldview. Here is the thing it does not fit, because the bible is nothing more than ancient fantasy fiction.

Mormon "scholars" (and I use the term loosely) are notorious for twisting facts and distorting the research of real archaeologists. The Mormon church is desperate to validate its ridiculous scriptures and has no qualms in deceiving their members & the public at large in its pursuit to do so. They are shameless.

And the biggest secret of them all... the Bible is not a book for idolatry but an ancient documentary that few read properly.... So the Nephilim are descended angels... An angel "descended" and Mary was pregnant... Joseph rejected her because of her betrayal... But an angel/not God! convinces him that Mary's son is God himself and that he must be assisted and adored...

Jesus was a Nephilim!! That's why many doubted him and feared enough to conspire and kill him. The ones who got on with him were "prostitutes" and "thieves"!!

Christians are a cult of Nephilim idolatry. Christianity is the Babylon Whore! This is the ultimate secret!

Brothers, Christians call us atheists because we truly are the last Saints (the innocents). Please, help spread this important information!!

Good show. This guy is easy to like. Have him back, when reasonable for your production!
